National Guild of Piano Teachers' National Piano-Playing Auditions April 3-5, 2012
Broadway Cabaret Singing Performances May 18, 2012
Pre-K Program (Starts September 6)
Endeavoring to provide children with unique opportunities to
learn and grow, we are proud to announce a unique, art-and-
music-enriched, preschool program for ages four and five. In
addition to a comprehensive curriculum that will prepare your child
for kindergarten, socially and academically, students will benefit
from learning to play the piano and from an array of art, music,
and creative dramatics activities.
At Renaissance Kids, we believe that the process of learning
music and art have a catalytic and positive effect on an
individual’s aptitude and focus for learning math, language, any
subject. Scientific studies have measured a “Mozart Effect,” an
increase in IQ scores, in student’s receiving music instruction.
Research has shown that the greatest boost in IQ scores was
experienced by children that learned to play the piano. We have
seen in our own students a connection between learning music
and the development of math, study, memorization, fine motor,
organizational, and reading skills. We believe that music not only enhances learning, it also makes learning more enjoyable for the child.
Because this is a Renaissance Kids program, your child will benefit from a cornucopia of art, drama, and creative movement activities as well.
Program Details
This program is specifically designed for children ages four and five. Our school day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parents have the option of enrolling their child for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week.
Our curriculum encompasses language arts, math, social interaction, science, social studies, large/small motor development, music, art, drama, creative movement, and piano. Students will benefit from lots of group music and art activities, as well as one-on-one instruction at the piano.
